Biomasse Italia and Biomasse Crotone can be considered as a landmark in the national field of energy production from renewable sources (solid biomass), fully respecting the environment and being aware of their own industrial and technological role in developing the national energy policy, oriented towards an energetic supply system, sustainable in the long term.

The two companies are placed to the first positions among the Calabria’s private companies operating in the energy production from renewable sources.

We are part of TTEP, a new company established by EPH and TotalEnergies, the second-largest flexible power generation operator in Europe, with the aim of strengthening energy security and supporting the energy transition.

Headquartered in Amsterdam, TTEP brings together in a single platform a portfolio of nearly 30 sites across Europe, mainly consisting of combined-cycle and open-cycle gas power plants, biomass plants and battery energy storage systems.

The assets are located in Italy, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands and France, representing around 14 GW of installed or under-construction capacity. In 2025, the portfolio generated nearly 30 TWh of electricity. TTEP is also active in the energy supply sector in the Netherlands and Italy and operates a gas storage facility in the United Kingdom.
