Founded in 1997, Biomasse Italia SpA can be considered as a landmark in the national field of energy production from renewable sources (solid biomass), fully respecting the environment and being aware of its own industrial and technological role in developing the national energy policy, oriented towards an energetic supply system, sustainable in the long term.
Biomasse Italia SpA is placed to the first positions among the Calabria’s private companies operating in the energy production from renewable sources.
To develop the local agro-energetic supply chain, the Company has an Italian partner which is very experienced in the field of biomass: BioTrade.
The company structure
Api nòva energia is a company that belongs to the api Group, which is an Italian leader in the petroleum sector and whose mission is to lead with a unique direction and continuity the management and the development of Group’s electric power and gas business.
In the last few years Api, through api nòva energia has launched an energetic differentiation process, with the planning and carrying out important projects regarding electric energy production, in particular from renewable sources such Aeolian, Photovoltaic and Biomass, as well as the development of innovative plants for the re-gasification of liquid natural gas (LNG) and for the production of bio-fuel.
Bioenergie, through its controlled (SMB) or participated company (Biomasse Italia), is the greater Italian operator in production of energy from virgin biomass with 80 MWh installed and a yearly production of 650 GWh, boasting a many years’ experience in the management of such plants. The respect of the safety and environmental rules, of a rigorous ethical code, and the integration of its own production sites in the economic and social context of the local territory are essential pre-requirements in the management of the business. Moreover, Bioenergie is active in the development of numerous new projects for the energy production from biomasses, biogas and aeolian systems.
