Our Safety Policy

The Safety System is one of the instruments that realize our Company policy in the field of Health and Safety at work, which is a primary objective to be pursued at any level of our hierarchy.

Complying with the current law, the organisation, in order to establish a unique service of prevention and protection, has centralised personnel training whose aim is:

• Uniformity in the application of preventive actions;

• A higher level of professionalism;

• An immediate response to emergent safety problems;

• A greater capacity in the perception of potential dangers;

• A higher level of initiative in the promoting of preventative action.

The spirit behind the safety system is founded on the following points:

• Safety at work and environmental monitoring must be the guidelines to measure the commitment and the “organisational quality” of the Company;

• To achieve results safety must be perceived not as a techno-legal variable but rather as a cultural and vital factor that involves everyone;

• The current organisation must have a unique approach to safety problems, with any level of the hierarchy taking a more global responsibility in decisions of controlling and evaluating risks;

• The safety must be based on the preventive action rather than on the corrective action;

• To increase everybody’s awareness that critical situations regarding safety involve the whole Company management in terms of loss in production efficiency, social climate, stress and work stoppages.
